Çamlı has drawn a great interest with its stand and products in the 1st Citrus Culture and Art Festival held in January 7, 8 and 9 in 2011 in Erzin district of Hatay.
With ‘Citrus Festival’ being held for the first time, producers in Erzin had a chance to introduce and develop the exportation of citrus products to domestic market and abroad that has an important place within district economy.
Member of Festival Organization Committee and Chairman of Erzin Yeşilkent Irrigation Cooperative Mustafa Vural mentioned the following issues. “Erzin meets the 15% of citrus need in Turkey. Farmers can not sufficiently market their products in such an important citrus area. As a solution, we have decided to organize a festival just like Mersin. Craftsman in all over the district decorated their shops with citrus products.”
In the festival visited nearly by 10.000 people, Çamlı showed once more that it stands by the producers of Erzin by building a booth of Biofarm plant nutrition products.
