Çamlı Supports Intelligent And Sustainable Fish Breeding With Impaqt Project!

Çamlı Feed Animal Husbandry Co., which operates with a wide range of products in many fields such as aquaculture, cattle, ovine, poultry, fish feed and plant nutrition, has been one of the stakeholders of the IMPAQT (Intelligent Management Systems for Multi-trophic Aquaculture) project supported by the EU Research Infrastructure Support Program- Horizon 2020. took part in the project as the "Business Package Leader".

The IMPAQT project, which aims to produce new protein sources for human consumption (mussels, seaweeds, etc.), support healthy life with rich nutritional contents, to protect life in the water, develop the infrastructure by applying new and developed technologies in the aquaculture sector, uses solar energy as a power source and smart technologies. It also supports minimum energy use by managing it with With the monitoring systems developed in the project, the producers, especially the authorities controlling the production and the environment, and most importantly the consumers, can access the most comprehensive and accurate information about the quality of the product and its impact on the environment.

The IMPAQT project, which is supported by 21 different stakeholders from 12 countries, supports the ecofunctional development of aquaculture and stands out with its wide area of influence, conducts R&D studies on alternative aquaculture models managed with smart systems that are sustainable, environmentally friendly and adapted to smart technologies. It tests these systems in pilot facilities established in 5 different parts of the world.

Çamlı Feed Animal Husbandry Co., as a stakeholder of the IMPAQT project; tries and develops a sustainable system approach and an aquaculture model that creates new product/business areas with the new technologies it has acquired, while also supporting the participation of approximately half of the investment and operational costs in the regional economy and the creation of new business areas. With the project, 50% improvement is achieved in water quality and parameters.
