A meeting within the project of “Animal Welfare Indicators” (AWIN), is organized in the Agricultural Faculty of Ege University with the attendancy of Hasan Girenes; The President Of The Agriculture, Livestock And Fishery Group of Yaşar Holding, Prof. Dr. Akın Olgun; The Dean Of Ege University Agricultural Faculty, Cenk Doğru; The Director Of The Poultry And Plant Nutrition Business Units, Gündüz İlsever; The Production Manager Of The Poultry Business Of Çamlı, Veterinarians, Prof. Dr. Figen Kırkpınar; The Head Of The Department Of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Sezen Özkan; The Head Of The Department Of Animal Breeding. An integrative organization for the final sitting of this project and plaque ceremony is made.
At the date of June 2014, various training studies are made by the authorities in the Animal Husbandy Department Of the Ege University Agricultural Faculty, the team members of the AWIN project from Milano University and Çamlı Yem executives. The contracted turkey coops are visited and the applications made in Hedef Ziraat, are learnt. The project based on the cooperation about the issues of animal welfare measurements and improvements, is completed at the date of December 2014.
European Union, had included turkeys inside the poultry types with the aim of measuring animal welfare till the regulation preparation process and collected datas by making scanning studies with the whole world countries in order to be able to determine these criterias.
