Clipping is an obligatory application in order to obtain hair and mohair and protecting animal health. While the hair avoids heat loss in winter, it complicates the heat adjusting process in summer. Accordingly, clipping is required once a year and it should be activated in the last months of spring or in the summer. A shadow, calm, clean, luminous and dry place should be arranged and canvas should be spread over to the pad or another method of boarding can be used. In order to avoid physical injuries in clipping, it should be applied to goats regularly.
The aim in clipping, is to earn income by comforting animals with heating air, providing increase in efficiency, protecting health and fleece. A more profitable sheep breeding is going to be possible with redundant efficiency and healthy products.
Clipping has two types. It can be applied with both clipper and machine. In terms of being economical; the method of clipping with clipper is preferred in small businesses.
Using machine while clipping, is more beneficial. In this method, efficiency and quality of the fleece increase and clipping is carried out properly in a shorter time. Moreover, risks for skin wounds and injuries reduce.
